Livermore Airport Open House + kit airplane build

Robot Garden is the sponsor for Aviation Explorer Post #997 (a coed Boy Scout program – Post997.org) at the Livermore Airport. We are gearing up to build a small 2-seat Sonex-A aluminum kit airplane that was recently donated to us. We want to promote this new “aviation maker project” along with the other resources & programs that Robot Garden has available.

Robot Garden is renting hangar space at the airport and already has a small metal workshop that is available to members. We currently have a grinder, bandsaw, CNC mill, drill press, rivet guns, and various power tools for metal working. We are looking to add a sheet metal shear & brake soon. (We have a MIG welder there, but welding has to be done offsite since it’s not allowed in the hangars.)

Please, come help promote Robot Garden & our programs at the booth. Bring your robots and other maker creations to show off.

You’ll have time to walk around and check out the other booths and activities at the Airport Open House.
